In order to meet this goal, we are growing our team. The big ask for you right now is help us hire! We are hiring 80 full-time staff across all of our offices this year alone.
The staff in Massachusetts and North Carolina are busy building out their teams and developing partnerships within each state. Massachusetts has already signed a number of health center agreements and is opening their office this summer. Both states are actively recruiting for a range of openings.

Upstream Washington Trainings to Begin This Summer
The team in Washington has been growing rapidly. Besides recruiting and training a Quality Improvement team of 25 people, the Washington team has kicked off work with 11 partner agencies, all of which are committed to transforming contraceptive care delivery across the state. The first trainings will begin early this summer.

Sustaining Our Work in Delaware
Since work began in Delaware, Upstream has trained over 180 provider and community partner sites, reaching nearly 3000 clinician and staff members across the state. Currently, Delaware is working to sustain the changes implemented at all partner sites. Most recently, Upstream launched a series of e-learning modules that our Delaware partners can access to train new support staff, or provide refresher training to existing staff on topics including:
- An overview of all contraceptive methods
- Conducting patient-centered contraceptive counseling
- Strategies to recognize bias and provide coercion-free care, addressing reproductive coercion and oppression in the US
Upstream partner healthcare providers who have completed our training have the option to integrate the modules to their internal Learning Management System (LMS), which means the course can be added to required orientation materials for new staff based on their role and location. The courses can also be accessed via Upstream’s password-protected partner resources website. Delaware partners can contact their Quality Improvement Officer for more information or questions.
